Terms of use
Last updated: 27 August 2026.
1. Purpose
This document governs the use of ninhache.fr, of its blog, and of the reader accounts that make it possible to comment and react there. Using the site means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, you can keep reading the site without creating an account.
2. The site
ninhache.fr is a personal site: a portfolio and a technical blog published by an individual, with no commercial purpose. It is provided as is, with no guarantee of availability, accuracy or continuity. Its content may be changed, corrected or withdrawn at any time, without notice.
3. Reader account
A reader account is created by signing in with an existing Google, GitHub or Discord account. No password is created or stored here: your identity is verified by the provider you choose.
On your first sign-in you choose a display name. That name, and only that name, appears under your comments. The name your provider returns (often your first and last name) is never published. You can change your display name at any time from the My account page.
You are responsible for what is done with your account. One account per person: creating several accounts to work around moderation is grounds for deletion.
4. Comments and reactions
You keep ownership of what you write. By posting a comment you grant the right to display it on the site, in its context, for as long as the article exists.
The following are not allowed, and the list is not exhaustive:
- insulting, hateful, discriminatory or threatening speech;
- harassment of a person, whether or not they take part in the comments;
- publishing personal data about someone else;
- advertising, search engine spam and unsolicited promotion;
- unlawful content, or content infringing a third party's rights;
- impersonation, including through the choice of a display name.
5. Moderation
Moderation happens after publication and at the publisher's discretion. A comment may be deleted, a display name may be replaced, an account may be banned or deleted, without notice and without an obligation to explain. A ban prevents commenting and reacting; comments already published may be kept or removed.
You can delete your own comments yourself, and delete your account from the My account page.
6. Site content
The articles, texts, illustrations and code published on the site are protected by copyright. Short quotations with a link to the source are free. Any full or substantial reproduction requires prior agreement. Code snippets published in the articles may be reused freely, without warranty.
7. External links
The site links to third-party sites over which no control is exercised. Their content and their data practices are their own.
8. Liability
The site is a personal project. No guarantee is given as to its availability, the absence of errors, or the retention of comments. Nothing published here is professional advice.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. Their full history is public, in the site's source repository. The version in force is the one displayed on this page.
10. Governing law
French law applies. In case of a dispute, an amicable solution is sought first, by writing to the address given in the legal notice.
